Happy AAPI Heritage Month! What a month of pride, culture, and powerhouse performances on the water.
Our crews wrapped up preseason with standout results:
  • Wahine — 3rd place, short course (May 9)
  • Kāne — 1st place, long course (May 9)
  • Mixed — 5th overall & 1st in category, short course (May 16)
Huge congratulations to all paddlers — you crushed it!
We’re grinding hard at practice and gearing up for an exciting regatta season ahead.
This month, we also celebrate our incredible moms, cheer on our 2026 graduates, and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Their strength inspires ours.
Updates:
Deadline for membership for All competitors is May 14! Please see one of the board members to turn in packets and fees. Regatta will quickly be here sooner than you think! All active members please refer to TeamSnap for all announcements and schedules.

Over the past weeks, our islands have been tested by back-to-back Kona Low storms. The first system on March 13 brought significant flooding to our home waters; while most of our property was saved, one of our Wa'a did sustain damage.

The second storm on March 20–21 hit our already saturated 'aina hard, causing major flooding across the West Side and North Shore. Many in our paddling community and our own ohana have lost homes, belongings, and livelihoods. We have come together and Laulima—to work together by raising almost $2k for those impacted by these storms! We have organized a donation drive and dropped off 2 truck loads worth of supplies! We rise together through these challenging times.
Please continue to be prepared and be safe out there as another storm approaches our islands this coming week!

Mahalo for your strength and for looking out for one another!
