Welcome to the Kamaha'o Canoe Club!

We are an outrigger canoe club in Ewa Beach, Hawai'i
We are registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
We are under the Hawaii Canoe Racing Association (HCRA)
We are members of Hui Wa'a 

We welcome anyone, you do not have to live here to come out have fun, make friends and paddle with us!

Just like that the 2026 Regatta season is complete! What a season full of special moments and lots of memories! Congratulations to our keiki who have smashed all regatta season long! Mahalo to all our supporters who came out every race to cheer on our crews! Mahalo to our boat holders holding it down every single race event! Special mahalo to our coaches who continue to teach us valuable lessons about the wa'a and life! We love you all! 

This year is special! We're celebrating Kamaha'o's 20th anniversary! For 2 decades, Kamaha'o has been dedicated perpetuating Hawaiian Culture, strengthening our community, bringing families together, and creating lifelong friendships. Mahalo to City and County of Honolulu Dist 9 for presenting Kamaha'o a honorary certificate in celebrating 20 years! 

Mahalo to everyone who has been part of this journey! Here's to 20 years of paddling with purpose and many more to come!

CONGRADULATIONS TO OUR GIRLS 10! They have qualified and competed in the HCRA State Championships that was held on August 1, 2026 and did AMAZING! We are so proud of them finishing within the top 10 of the entire Hawaiian State!  Way to smash!

UPDATES:
Big mahalo's to everyone who have supported Kamaha'o with all your signatures to our petition as well as who sent in emails to Senator Fevella. Mahalo Senator for your support! Mahalo to Senator Augie Tulba who feature our club in the latest community newsletter! Shout out and mahalo to the Ewa Beach Community Board members for approving a resolution and providing a tremendous support to our club! We appreciate all who have came out to hear our situation and have supported us! We continue to work with all parties with the upmost respect to agree upon a solution that works for all. 

Mahalo everyone for standing with us and helping ensure that future generations can continue to paddle, learn, and grow through Kamaha'o.

OUR LOCATION...

Take H-1 West to the Ewa Exit 5A. Stay on Ft. Weaver Road for 4.5 miles. Turn left at the Iroquois/Geiger Road intersection (the Ewa Town Center/Foodland will be on your right). Follow the Kapilina signs along this country road about 3 miles, past the Naval Magazine, until you see the large Kapilina property sign where you make a left. Check in at our guarded gate through the left entrance for visitors.  Tell the gate guard that you are going to paddle with us (They will give you a day pass.)  Continue straight on the road.  After the 2nd Stop sign, the road will curve left along the beach.  Go past the 3rd stop sign. Park at the beach parking on the right and walk toward the beach. The Canoe Hale will be on the left hand side on the beach.

*Please make sure you have all vehicle information updated and current, please be in the guest lane (far left) when coming into the property. Please complete any document upon entering the community.
