Welcome to the Kamaha'o Canoe Club!

We are an outrigger canoe club in Ewa Beach, Hawai'i
We are registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
We are under the Hawaii Canoe Racing Association (HCRA)
We are members of Hui Wa'a 

We welcome anyone, you do not have to live here to come out have fun, make friends and paddle with us!

The2025 Regatta Season has officially kicked off! Below is June calendar of events and practices.

Updates: 
* May 24, 2025 we had our regatta season, wa'a, paddles, paddlers, coaches, and our home of our practice blessed! What a beautiful day full of blessings and mana! 
*May 31st kicked off our first race for the 2025 Regatta Season! What a start for our club!

MEMBERSHIP REGISTRATION!

Registration for 2025 continues. We are accepting applications for recreational paddling. 

SUPPORT IS NEEDED!
We are currently looking to obtain a new or used canoe as well as 3 sets of iako and 1 ama. Check our the support page on how to support this goal!

2025 Regatta Season Races: 
*Please check out hcrapaddler.com for more information regarding all regatta events and upcoming long distance events, results and lanes. 

Pre-Season Races

Race 1: March 22, 2025 at Sand Island
3 crews raced! 2 crews a mix 50's and men's 50's completed the short course (5-6 miles) and a Mix open crew completed the long course (12 miles) Way to hammah!

Race 2: April 5, 2025 at Sand Island
3 crews raced! Congratulations to men's 50s for powering through and completing the short course (6miles), Mix 14 and under youth completed their first pre-season race (3miles) and placed 1st in their division and the Mix open crew completing a wild 10 miles and placing 3rd in their division! (pics below!)

Race 3: April 26, 2025 at Sand Island
1 mix novice crew competed in the short course (6 miles) and came in 14th overall and 1st in their division! Way to go team! This pre season is looking strong!

Race 4: May 3, 2025 at Hawaii Kai to Magic Island
1 mix open crew to complete the long course (10 miles)
Way to crush it team! 3rd in their category!

Race 5: May 17, 2025 at Haleiwa
1 youth crew 14 and under girls who completed 1 mile and took 1st in their division! Congratulations girls! Job well done!

PADDLING SCHEDULE...

  • Recreational Paddling : Sunday's from 8:00 AM to 10 AM​​​​
For Racers and those who will be competing for the 2025 Regatta season
  • Keiki/Youth: Monday's co-ed: 4:30pm-6:30pm
Wednesday’s girls: 4:30pm-6:30pm
Thursday’s boys: 4:30pm-6:30pm
  • Women: Tuesday's and Wednesday's: 4:30pm-6:30pm
  • Men: Tuesday's and Thursday's: 4:30pm-6:30pm

OUR LOCATION...

Take H-1 West to the Ewa Exit 5A. Stay on Ft. Weaver Road for 4.5 miles. Turn left at the Iroquois/Geiger Road intersection (the Ewa Town Center/Foodland will be on your right). Follow the Kapilina signs along this country road about 3 miles, past the Naval Magazine, until you see the large Kapilina property sign where you make a left. Check in at our guarded gate through the left entrance for visitors.  Tell the gate guard that you are going to paddle with us (They will give you a day pass.)  Continue straight on the road.  After the 2nd Stop sign, the road will curve left along the beach.  Go past the 3rd stop sign. Park at the beach parking on the right and walk toward the beach. The Canoe Hale will on the left hand side on the beach.

*Please make sure you have all vehicle information updated and current, please be in the guest lane (far left) when coming into the property. Please complete any document upon entering the community.
