Q. Can I try it out before joining?
A. Absolutely!  and you are encouraged to do so.

Q. When do you practice?
A. Our practice schedule is:

  • Keiki on Monday through Thursday 4:30pm to 5:30pm.
  • Women on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30pm until 6:30pm or 7pm, depending on the daylight..
  • Men on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30pm until 6:30pm or 7pm, depending on the daylight.
  • *If we are not racing on Saturdays, we do a mixed run (Men & Women) from 7:30am until when we feel like leaving!

Q. Do I need to know how to swim?
A. Paddling is a water sport.  Much of the activity will take place in the open ocean.  You shouldn't be afraid of the water.  You'll have to wear a life vest if you don't know how to swim.  There is no stigma if you do not how to swim, but if you decide you want to continue with paddling you should take swimming lessons.

Q. Do I need to buy a paddle?
A. Members are strongly encouraged to purchase their own paddles.  The club has paddles that you can borrow for practices and races.  We ask club members to take care of the paddles and rinse and return them to the storage area after use.
